Lorsqu'il est frappé par la maladie d'Alzheimer, son déclin bouleverse les habitants de la « Cité Imbécile », qui se mobilisent pour lui rendre la générosité qu'il leur a toujours offerte. À travers ce récit profondément humain, Nicolas Sawalo Cissé livre une émouvante réflexion sur la mémoire, la transmission, la spiritualité et la force de la solidarité face à l'épreuve.

In the heart of a working-class neighborhood in Dakar, Imam Habibi is a respected figure, always ready to listen to his community beneath the great mango tree. When he is struck by Alzheimer’s disease, his decline deeply affects the residents of the “Cité Imbécile,” who come together to return the generosity he has always shown them. Through this deeply human story, Nicolas Sawalo Cissé offers a moving reflection on memory, transmission, spirituality, and the power of solidarity in the face of hardship.
