Dans les années 1950, les Charbonnages de France recrutent Félix Mora pour faire venir des milliers d’ouvriers marocains dans les mines du Nord-Pas-de-Calais. À travers les témoignages d’anciens mineurs et de leurs familles, le film exhume cette histoire méconnue de migration, de labeur, de discrimination et de déracinement. Un récit poignant sur la résistance, la transmission et les mémoires encore vives du passé colonial. Débat avec le réalisateur après la projection.

In the 1950s, the French Coal Board (Charbonnages de France) recruited Félix Mora to bring thousands of Moroccan workers to the mines of Nord-Pas-de-Calais. Through the testimonies of former miners and their families, the film unearths this little-known story of migration, hard work, discrimination, and displacement. A poignant tale of resistance, legacy, and the still-vivid memories of the colonial past. A discussion with the director will follow the screening.
